Six worlds, one family adventure

Here's everything inside Reward Rangers — explained world by world, honestly and without fine print. Every child is a Junior Ranger, and you're the squad.

3daily challenges with bonus stars
16badges across four categories
24stickers in three collectible sets
5alarm melodies to choose from
01 · Missions 🧭

Tasks kids actually want to do

“Please tidy your room” becomes a mission with stars — and checking it off becomes a little celebration with confetti.

  • Create missions: title, stars ⭐, an emoji or your own photo — for one child or several at once. With templates and duplicating, it takes seconds.
  • Weekday repeats: “Make the bed” every morning, “Water the plants” only on Tuesdays — the mission shows up exactly when it's due.
  • Approving with heart: your child checks off, and the mission moves to “🔍 Being checked”. You approve (“🎉 Done!”) or send it encouragingly into the next round (“💪 Try again”) — deliberately no punishment.
  • Stars only after your okay: points are only awarded once you've approved — self-rewarding is impossible.
  • Streak & challenges: the flame 🔥 counts days in a row, plus three daily challenges: 80% of the day's tasks (+20 ⭐), keep the streak (+10 ⭐), collect points (+15 ⭐).

Progress you can feel

02 · Treasure Chamber 💎

Collected stars, real treasures

You set the rewards, your child saves up for them — from a favorite ice cream to movie night.

  • Real rewards: 30 minutes of extra playtime for 50 ⭐, a favorite ice cream for 100 ⭐, movie night for 200 ⭐ — with a photo or emoji, in categories like food, playtime, outings, digital, and more.
  • Savings goal: your child pins their wished-for reward, and a golden progress bar shows the way there — right up to “Done! You can redeem it 🎉”.
  • Fine-grained parent rules: stock (e.g. only 3× available), a wait time in hours, maximum redemptions per day, week, or month, availability from–to, and a minimum level (🔒 “From level 5”).
  • Redeemed fairly: redeeming only works online — the server checks points and stock so things stay fair for all siblings.

03 · Hall of Fame 🏅

Achievements that last

Levels, ranks, badges, and stickers — here your child sees everything they've accomplished. And the app celebrates along.

  • Levels & XP: every completed mission earns experience — and a level-up brings a big overlay with confetti and fanfare.
  • 16 badges in 4 categories: First Steps, School Hero, Social Ranger, Heart & Mind — for example “Week Hero” (7 days in a row), “Month Champion” (30 days), or “Perfect Day”.
  • Stats & family leaderboard: who collected the most stars this week? A friendly comparison within the squad.
  • Family events: you launch time-limited bonus events — say, double the hustle before the family outing.
  • Weekly recap: “Your Ranger Week” sums up what your child accomplished.

04 · Adventure Plan 🗺️

The family calendar that actually rings

Events and reminders for the whole squad — with real alarms instead of silent lists.

  • Events with start and end times: with an icon or your own photo and a small “by Mom” or “by Max” label, so everyone knows who did the planning.
  • Reminders that ring: real notifications on Android and iOS — with 5 alarm melodies to choose from (bells, fanfare, birdsong, xylophone, space) and an instant preview while picking.
  • Kids plan along: if you allow it (a toggle per child), kids create their own events and alarms — and may only edit their own.
  • Handy helpers: an “Only my events” filter, “Turn off today's alarm” in the 10-minute window before it rings, and little counters for events this week and next plus today's reminders.

05 · Radio Post 📻

Family chat with no strangers

One group for the whole squad plus private radio channels — that's all you need, and deliberately all there is.

  • Your family only: one family group and private 1:1 messages (parent↔child and child↔child). No strangers, no public rooms — technically impossible.
  • Private messages are private: not even parents can read other people's 1:1 chats — a deliberate choice for trust over surveillance, enforced server-side. Why we built it this way.
  • Radio calls & photos: voice messages up to 60 seconds that play on every device, and photos from camera or gallery, automatically resized.
  • Child-friendly emojis: around 116 hand-picked emojis in 6 groups — and 1 to 3 emojis appear extra large without a speech bubble.
  • No pressure: delivery ticks only in private chats (✓ sent, ✓✓ delivered) — deliberately no read receipts. You can delete your own messages and mute conversations for 8 hours, 1 day, or 1 week.
  • 30-day rule: the server automatically forgets messages after 30 days — your history stays locally on your device (for up to about 12 months).
  • Fairly capped: in the free version, every family member can send up to 30 messages per day — Premium lifts the limit.

06 · Base Camp ⛺

My profile, my style

At Base Camp, every ranger makes the app their own — from avatar to world colors to click sound.

  • Emoji avatar: every child picks their own avatar from the emoji catalog — photo uploads stay a parent thing.
  • Custom colors: every world gets the child's favorite color — 16 predefined color themes from Forest Green to Sun Gold, changeable anytime.
  • Earned extras: avatar frames come with your level (Gold from level 10, Rainbow from 15), titles like “Star Collector” come with badges — and new confetti styles (stars, hearts, leaves, lightning) join in step by step as your level grows. Every unlock gets a celebration, with a button that jumps straight to the right menu.
  • Click sounds: silent, pop, blub, bells, drum, or space — quiet sounds that make every tap a little more fun.
  • Sunny Day & Night Camp themes: warm cream during the day, the dark Night Camp look in night blue for the evening. In automatic mode the app follows the clock: when it gets dark outside, the app goes dark too — a gentle sign that the day is winding down. Prefer one look? Set it to light or dark for good.
  • Two languages: the app speaks English and German.
  • Logout protection: a small math question keeps kids from accidentally signing out.
  • For parents: manage your profile and password, organize the family, export data — and if you ever leave, delete the family along with all its data.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 For Parent Rangers

Your cockpit: everything in view, done with one tap

Reward Rangers takes work off your plate instead of adding more.

  • Approval inbox: all open requests from all kids in one place, a red counter shows what's new — and when everything checks out: “Approve all” with one tap.
  • Two parents, one squad: the second parent joins with an invitation code — both see the same missions, rewards, and requests in real time. Part of the Premium subscription.
  • Permissions per child: you decide for each child whether they may create their own events and alarms.
  • Adjust points: award or deduct bonus stars — always with a reason, so it stays easy to follow.
  • Deactivate a child: if a child takes a break, their access can be paused temporarily.

⚙️ Under the hood

Tech that simply plays along

So family life never gets stuck on the app — even in a dead zone, even at night, even on Grandma's tablet.

📶

Offline mode

Check-offs, events, messages: changes go into a queue while offline and are sent automatically later — nothing gets lost. A status badge shows what's still pending.

🔔

Push notifications

New request? Parents find out. Approved? The child finds out. New chat message? The squad finds out — without anyone having to keep the app open.

Real-time sync

All family devices stay on the same page automatically — if Dad approves on his phone, Mom sees it instantly on the tablet.

🌙

Night Camp mode

The dark night-blue theme is easy on the eyes in the evening — and looks like a cozy camp under a starry sky.

🌍

English & German

The entire app comes in two languages — switchable per device at Base Camp.

Accessibility

Reward Rangers respects the “Reduce motion” system setting — if you prefer fewer animations, you get fewer animations.
